September 2016 – Industry Advisory Council
Posted: September 20, 2016
A Message from Your Industry Representative,
As the Industry Advisory Council (IAC) kicks off another year, I begin my last year as the Industry Advisory Chair. I know many of you reading this would be wonderful for this position. Please consider nominating yourself or someone you think would be a great asset to the IAC. In the words of Olympic runner Steve Prefontaine, “To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift”. SNA is taking nominations for the 2017-19 Industry Advisory Chair position until September 30. The application and complete Call for Nomination information may be found here.
For the first time, the Industry Advisory Council will be meeting at Committee Days in October. The discussions will be rich, covering topics like the upcoming Child Reauthorization, Block Grants (effects they may have on Industry) and SNIC Industry Sessions.
Also, this year’s Patron Meeting will be on November 16 in National Harbor. I hope to see all of you Patrons in attendance. The agenda is based on last year’s attendee feedback, and I know it will be great!
Please let me know if there are other topics you would like included on the agenda.
